Youth Arts
The benefit and value of Mid Powys Youth Theatre provision has been proven over many years. In 2007 the Company developed its youth arts provision by creating weekly out-of-school drama workshops for young people aged 9 to 11 attending Trefonnen CW and Cefnllys CP schools in Llandrindod. The Llandrindod Drama Workshops (LLDW) seeks to use a multi-disciplinary approach encompassing theatre, dance, music and visual arts to help young people tackle issues and events affecting their lives in a meaningful and creative way.
The Company also hopes to host and stage events involving youth organisations from other parts of the country and give local young people the opportunity of travelling to meet new people in new areas on exchange visits.
