The Drama Centre
In October 2006, after 6 years in temporary accommodation following a fire the Company moved back into its historic home into the newly refurbished and rebuilt Drama Centre in Llandrindod Wells. The Drama Centre not only offers a secure, comfortable and integrated home for Theatr Powys but is totally accessible to the public and has huge potential as a venue and community meeting place.
The Drama Centre is able to hire out both its studio and conference room facilities, buffet and refreshments are also available. Please phone 01597 824444 for further details. The Company is planning a programme of social and cultural events for the coming year at The Drama Centre. Details will be posted in the Events section.
The front car park at The Drama Centre is the site of a stunning 12 foot high artwork entitled 'Peel' by local artist, Andy Hazell. 'Peel' is a striking contemporary design which acts as an impressive feature celebrating the creativity of Theatr Powys. The commission was made possible by the Arts Council of Wales Lottery fund as part of the grant for the new Drama Centre.
